Transdev and IVU extend their partnership in Germany

For over two decades, Transdev GmbH has relied on the integrated software solutions from IVU Traffic Technologies AG. As part of their current framework agreement, both partners are laying the groundwork for even more efficient and future-oriented operation management – thereby creating planning reliability for growing bus and train operations.

With around 2,800 buses and 520 rail vehicles, Transdev is one of Germany’s leading mobility providers, whose partnership with Berlin-based software company, IVU Traffic Technologies, began back in 2001. Over many years, the collaboration between the two companies has grown steadily. Today, IVU solutions provide end-to-end support for planning and dispatch in bus and rail operations at Transdev. Optimisation tools, such as automatic personnel dispatch, simplify dispatchers’ workload, ensure greater efficiency, and increase employee satisfaction.

IVU.vehicle is currently being implemented by Transdev to manage vehicles at two sites in Germany. The software not only accelerates train allocation, but also checks maintenance service intervals, reports disruptions in real-time, and allows for efficient track occupancy.

Two bespoke framework agreements for bus and rail allow Transdev and IVU to continually coordinate and standardise their operations. These contracts form the basis for ongoing development of existing systems – whether by integrating additional vehicles and personnel or introducing new software components.
